| September 27, 2010: The OECD is
preparing a new version of their USB Key, containing the Model Tax Convention
as read on July 22, 2010. The 2010 USB Key is expected to be released in
December 2010, or January 2011 (price TBA). |
| The most complete and up-to-date version of the
Model Tax Convention (MTC) available, this 2008 Electronic Version,
based on the text approved by the OECD Council on 17 July 2008, features the
full text of Convention including all Articles, Commentaries, Histories,
Country Positions, List of Bilateral Agreements based on the MTC in Force, and
Background Reports. It includes the ability to open up to four windows on the
screen simultaneously, enabling the user to view, for example, an Article, its
related Commentary, History, and Country Positions all at the same time. |

Extensive internal linking and fast search
capabilities make it easy to find needed text and cut-and-paste capabilities
enable extracts to be used in reports and legal documents. The Electronic
Version also has a Notes feature that enables users to attach their own
notes to specific areas of text. The notes are transferable to other users or
to or from other editions of the Electronic Version of the Model Tax
Convention.
This version is made available on a USB Memory Stick. When
the file is executed from a machine connected to the internet, the program
checks to see if it is the current edition and if not, advises the user how to
update.
The Model Tax Convention on Income and on Capital 2008,
Electronic Version replaces the 2005 online subscription
version.
From the 2008 edition onwards, the downloadable version of MTC,
will only be available via purchase of the eMTC on USB memory stick. This
version includes software that enables users to append notes to segments of
Convention text. The online subscription service first offered in 2005 is
discontinued. |
