- Incorporation of all the legislative developments

- The Budget Implementation Act 2009, S.C. 2009 c. 2,
amends the Trust and Loan Companies Act, S.C. 1991, c. 45 concerning the
restriction on charges to borrowers (s. 418.1), regulating activities (s.
443.2) and orders for exemptions (s. 527.9)
- Four new regulations that deal with the mortgage
insurance business, mortgage insurance disclosure, Canada Deposit Insurance
Corporation differential premiums and credit business practices
- The Office of the Superintendent of Financial
Institutions revised over 20 approval guidelines in 2009 for transaction
instructions for applications. The Transaction Instructions provide applicants
