Native Law Statutes, Regulations and Treaties continues to
bring together a timely consolidation of the significant statutes, regulations
and treaties that have an impact on the area of native law. Additionally, this
text contains helpful finding tools, including a detailed master table of
contents, a table of contents for each statute and a comprehensive key word
index, which simplify research.
New material for this year’s
edition includes:
- “Inclusion List Regulations” have been added under
the Environmental Protection Act dealing with activities that may require an
environmental assessment, including activities on aboriginal land.
- Significant amendments under Part 2 of the First Nations Goods
and Services Tax dealing with parallel provincial laws.
- Amendments to the Ontario Child and Family Services Act dealing
with the issues of child protection and adoption of native children and
consultation with native bands under this act have been added.
- Important federal enactments confirming the agreements relating
to reserves in Nova Scotia and New Brunswick have also been added.
