| This technical guide for housing contractors recommends
appropriate features and systems related to space heating and cooling,
ventilation, plumbing and electrical power systems for multi-suite buildings.
Covered are "Part 3 Buildings of Residential Occupancy" under the National
Building Code of Canada (NBCC) covering most low to high rise structures with a
common entrance (and some relevance to domiciliary buildings such as motels and
nursing homes). In-depth chapters include those for project development,
separate and combination heating and cooling systems, central hydronic
distribution piping systems, ventilation systems, controls, water supply
systems and commissioning. Pre-start, start-up and functional performance tests
are described for different systems. |
